It won’t be wrong to say that the present bustling World Percussionist Scene in Sandalwood & South India had its foundation laid down by Rahul Shivakumar 7 years ago ago.
Rahul Shivakumar is a Percussionist, Drummer and Solo Performer. He has been schooled in both Carnatic Rhythmic Tradition and Western Drums & World Percussions, where the basic idea is all about creating magic with anything from exotic Darbuka to clinical kitchen utensils like Biryani Kadai and Gobi Fry Pan. On stage performances of Rahul Shivakumar is a package of high voltage energetic percussion instruments and musical surprises.
Rahul Shivakumar is been trained under the guidance of Pramath Kiran for World Percussions like Congas, Cajon, Duff and Vinod Shyam Anoor for Konnakol in Carnatic Rhythm tradition.
He debuted his Music Direction for movie ACT-1978 , along side with Ronada Bakkesh and also worked for many other Music Scores & Songs For Films With Music Directors Like Ravi Basrur, Arjun Janya, Poornachandra Tejaswi, Sridhar Sambhram, Ronada Bakkesh, etc
Starting with Darbuka, Djembe, Cajon, Timbale, Duff, Folk Tapes and other assorted percussions shows his versatility in music has made him synonymous across the world for public gathering performances and private events. Traveling across countries playing at South Africa, Sri Lanka and many more.

With an experience of rhythmic journey, it will be a joy to share knowledge and techniques with passionate youngesters and pumping up the Adrenal Energy for Corporates, mind and body relaxation for spritual enthustits.
